UFSC Professors

Analúcia Schiaffino Morales

  • She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1993), a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1996) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2003). 
  • Adjunct professor, class C3, Department of Computing, Federal University of Santa Catarina.

Carla De Abreu D'Aquino

  • Graduated in Oceanography from the University of Vale do Itajaí (2000), master’s degree in Geosciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2003) and PhD in Geosciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2010). 
  • She is currently a professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, working on the undergraduate course in Energy Engineering. 
  • Permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Energy and Sustainability (PPGES / UFSC). 
  • Member of the Study Group on Atmospheric, Oceanic and Environmental Sciences – UNIFEI (DGP / Capes).

Carlos Barros Montez

  • Possui graduação em Ciência da Computação pela UFRJ, mestrado em Ciências da Computação pela UFSC e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela UFSC. 
  • É professor titular da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Participa do Curso de Graduação em Engenharia de Controle e Automação da UFSC (ECA/UFSC) e do Programa de Pós-graduação em Eng. de Automação e Sistemas da UFSC (PGEAS/UFSC).

Kátia Cilene Rodrigues Madruga

  • Graduated in Letters (UFRGS), Master’s (UFRGS) and PhD (University Bremen, Germany) in Business Administration with a focus on Social and Environmental Management.
  • She is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and works in the Department of Energy and Sustainability.

Ricardo Alexandre Reinaldo De Moraes

  • He has a degree in Mathematics from the Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (1997), a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1999) and a PhD in Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering from the University of Porto, Portugal (2007).
  • He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Energy and Sustainability (PPGES) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
